The new World Trade Center Denver development is almost 50 percent leased.
The 650,000 square foot, mixed-use development is slated to open in RiNo in 2020, with 260,000 square feet of rentable space., as well as hotel and retail space.
The project was announced in February 2016.
Early commitments include Colorado Thought Leaders Forum, Water Foundry, Denver Sister Cities, Manufacturer’s Edge and Colorado’s Innovation Corridor Expo Center.
A few firms whose names have not yet been made public are a national real estate firm, a concierge-driven shared meeting space concept and a regional restauranteur.
“It has been an incredibly busy few months for our partners on the World Trade Center project,” said Sean Campbell, CEO of Formativ, the development firm working on the proejct. “As we work towards a 2020 delivery, leasing and strategic partnerships are beginning to fall into place and the project is really coming to life; it’s an exciting time.”
There will also be a hotel with more than 260 rooms and a 40,000 square foot conference center.
The hotel flag and associated brand have not yet been finalized, but PM Hotel Group has joined the project as the hotel and business conference center operator.
“Denver has been a market of focus for our group and we feel honored to enter the market with such a catalytic and dynamic project like World Trade Center Denver,” said Joseph Bojanowski, president of PM Hotel Group.
Groundbreaking is expected to occur in August.
Leasing is still underway through Newmark Knight Frank.
“We are building a unique ecosystem for international business, business development opportunities, and innovation,” said Campbell. “It’s clear this is resonating with the business community in the region and we look forward to leasing the remaining floors over the next year and a half.”
